MOTORCYCLISTS ACKNOWLEDGE AIR AMBULANCE SERVICES RAISE CHARITY

The Boundary 500 Motorcycle Group donated a whooping sum of £39,000 to the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS). This was the entire sum it had collected through its fund raising event.

The bikers group thus on a yearly basis does this fund raiser and enthusiastically collects huge sums of money only to donate them to the air ambulance services which save innumerable lives every year.

In fact the Boundary 500 group has yet garnered a massive £815,000. It is donations like these which have helped the GNAAS to sustain with the ever increasing maintenance cost of the helicopters. Organizer Brian Laverick announced the sum donated with absolute gusto even as a cheque of £39,302.71 was given over to the air ambulance owners.

The function took place at the Middlesbrough Teaching Learning Centre. The bikers group annually embarks on a long journey covering up to 500 miles, gathering the entire amount for the air ambulance services. They cover many areas extensively which include outer edges of Tyne and Wear, North Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham, Northumberland and Cumbria.

The Boundary 500 Motorcycle Group also gathers and raises funds for the Zoë’s Baby Hospice apart from the GNAAS. The annual motorcycle Santa Ride is next on the cards even as the bikers go on a twenty two miles journey covering Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar, even as the journey wraps up at Kirkleatham Hall. Their Air Angels campaign has definitely proved to be a fruitful affair even as the bikers are looking at touching the £1million mark.
